Hey there!

I’m so glad we’ve been connected!

When I look at myself in the mirror, I see someone I like!

Is that too bold to say out loud?

I can tell you with all honesty though….it hasn’t always been this way! I’ve worked through many therapy sessions, sat through seminars, hands-on workshops, spiritual counseling & many coaching sessions. I’ve had several breakdowns and breakthroughs that have brought me to this point in my life. I’ve finally earned the right to say that I think I’m a pretty terrific human being.

My dream and overall purpose is that someone’s life just might be a little better off because I was here. I was lucky enough to find….and marry my college sweetheart at the tender age of 21, and almost 36 years later, I am still married to the man of my dreams. Together we have two amazing children, who have grown into conscientious, courageous and productive adults.

As for me? I am dependable, and a somewhat predictable kind of woman who tends to live life a little more in the ‘planned out and structured’ lane as opposed to speeding by on the ‘spontaneous and fly-by-the-seat of my pants’ freeway.

Even though I would love to throw caution to the wind and focus on ‘care-free’ more than ‘careful’, I find myself steering away from the unpredictable a lot more often than I would like.

I have always worked well as a planner and scheduler (nothing thrills me more than crossing things off my lists….just ask my husband!), and I am not afraid of a little friendly chaos in the eye of the wedding day storm. Give me a deadline or a due date, and you can depend on me to have the assignment completed; usually with a smile and sometimes even ahead of schedule!

I have always considered myself to be a good earth school student. I am studious, conscientious and I thrive when I am in an environment that encourages personal and spiritual growth and evolution. I honestly didn’t know the depth or breadth of this desire, until I began discovering, examining, and eventually understanding, my own spiritual nature back in 1996. It was through attending a special little non-denominational church that I discovered quite by accident, that I was exposed to a world of amazing possibilities. My eyes were opened to a different way of living as I began to see my life from a whole new perspective; one that gave me permission to live from the inside out.

It took many long hours of homework, exams, class time and tutorials before I ventured out on my own to officiate my first wedding ceremony, baby blessing and eventually my first celebration of life. With a strong sense of purpose and my family by my side, I took a leap of faith and trusted that I was heading in the right direction; the path of a non-denominational minister, mentor, life coach, insight facilitator and most recently an author!

It has been a labour of love; a journey of self-discovery and introspection; one I still love whole-heartedly to this very day. And, if by chance I have the honour of meeting you one day, I will truly consider it a privilege, as my life becomes richer with every wonderful person I meet along the way.

Mandi at a Glance

I’m a hopeless romantic who cries while watching videos of proposals, some TV commercials and sappy movie trailers. (I’m a mess in the theatre!)

At home, I’m most comfortable working in yoga pants and hoodies.

What gets me going in the morning is a good cup of coffee followed by a great big green smoothie. I am slightly obsessed with dark chocolate which I eat in small bit-sized pieces of heaven throughout the day to satisfy the cravings.

I’m a true introvert; often running for cover from this crazy & frenetic world to the comfort of my safe haven called home.

I am super sensitive to energy, my intuition is my north compass and I ask a lot of questions because I love getting to know people and I am genuinely curious about everything!

Most days you can find me in my home office perched in the chair at my desk.. I’m either writing a wedding ceremony, researching something that’s peaked my interest, or I’m contemplating my next great idea, which I usually write on a brightly coloured post-it note never to be found on my desk again!

People usually remember me for being an uplifting and calming energy in the midst of chaos, they comment on the apparent sparkle in my eyes that shines outwardly from my soul and my smile is usually something people don’t forget.

I love serving the world by being an awakened and conscious being and trusted & loyal friend and colleague. I am always available to lend an empathetic ear while offering compassion, honesty and a safe place to land.

If I could change one thing about myself, I would like to be more spontaneous and adventurous when it comes to travel and seeing the world.

"My life is far from perfect, however through my spiritual strength and faith in God, I navigate through each day with courage as my guide and intuition as my compass."

Other things about me I feel compelled to tell you...

  • My ‘someday I want to write a book’ became a real day in 2017!

  • I am petrified of centipedes since the day I found one in my bed at the age of ten.

  • Spending the day binge watching Netflix is on my ‘one day’ list.

  • I have a tattoo on my wrist of the word TIGER in Chinese – my nickname as a child - it reminds me to be courageous.

  • The most unique wedding I ever officiated was in a helicopter over Niagara Falls on New Year’s Eve!

  • My ‘drink’ of choice is Canada Dry Gingerale, but I’m usually a good girl and slurp back water instead…boring!

  • And if I had to eat one food for the rest of my life, it would be my husband’s awesome omelets!

  • No matter how hard I try, my office always looks like a tsunami went through it! I’ve learned to accept this about myself (sigh).

  • On the bucket list is experiencing the majesty of the Northern Lights and the Grand Canyon.
